The new terminal, Terminal C, will accommodate the growing passenger traffic and enhance the overall experience for travelers. Terminal C will be located on the west side of the airport, adjacent to the existing Terminal B. The expansion will comprise approximately 5.5 million square feet and feature: * 48 New Gates: The new terminal will house 48 new gates, significantly increasing the airport’s capacity to handle additional flights. * Expansive Concourse: The concourse will span over 1.5 miles and feature natural light, spacious seating areas, and panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. * Modern Amenities: Terminal C will offer a wide range of amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi, charging stations, and a variety of dining and retail options. * Sustainable Features: The terminal will be designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting, and LEED certification. The construction of Terminal C is expected to begin in 2023 and be completed in phases. The first phase, which includes 36 gates, is scheduled to open in 2030. The remaining gates will be added in subsequent phases. “This expansion is a transformative investment in Denver’s future,” said Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. “Terminal C will not only enhance the passenger experience but also create thousands of jobs and boost our local economy.” The expansion project is estimated to cost approximately $5 billion and will be funded through a combination of passenger fees, bonds, and federal grants. Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the United States, with over 53 million passengers passing through its gates in 2022. The new Terminal C will help the airport accommodate the ongoing growth in travel demand and ensure that Denver remains a major transportation hub.
