Located in the heart of the city’s hip Hampden neighborhood, The Sound Factory will offer a diverse lineup of local and touring acts, catering to a wide range of musical tastes. The venue boasts an intimate and cozy atmosphere, with a capacity of 200 people. The stage is set against a backdrop of exposed brick walls and vintage concert posters, creating a warm and inviting space for both performers and patrons. “We’re excited to bring a dedicated live music venue to Hampden,” said co-owner Alex Cohen. “We believe there’s a real thirst for this kind of space in the neighborhood, and we’re looking forward to hosting artists who will push the boundaries of music.” The Sound Factory’s programming will feature a mix of genres, from indie rock and singer-songwriters to jazz and experimental electronica. The venue will also host special events, such as record releases, open mics, and DJ nights. “We want to be a place where new and emerging artists can showcase their talents and build a following,” said co-owner Jess Lang. “But we’re also committed to bringing in established acts that our patrons will love.” The Sound Factory is set to open in early 2023, and tickets for upcoming shows are already on sale. The venue’s arrival is expected to further enhance Baltimore’s reputation as a thriving cultural hub, attracting music lovers from across the region. “Baltimore has always had a strong music scene, and we’re proud to be a part of it,” said Cohen. “We hope The Sound Factory will become a destination for anyone who appreciates live music and wants to experience something special.”
