Toledo’s Historic Warehouse to Open as Craft Beverage HubToledo’s Historic Warehouse to Open as Craft Beverage Hub Toledo, Ohio is set to welcome a new destination for craft beverage enthusiasts. The historic Warehouse District, once a bustling hub for industry, will soon become home to a new craft beverage complex. The former American Can Company building, a sprawling 115-year-old warehouse, is being transformed into a vibrant space housing multiple craft beverage businesses. The project, led by developer Chuck Sutton, aims to revitalize the area while celebrating the city’s rich brewing and distilling heritage. “Toledo has a storied history of brewing and distilling, and this project will pay homage to that,” said Sutton. “We’re creating a destination where people can experience the best of what our local artisans have to offer.” The complex will feature a mix of breweries, distilleries, and taprooms. Visitors can sample a wide variety of craft beers, spirits, and cocktails, all made locally. Several food vendors will also be on-site, offering a diverse range of culinary options. “This will be a place where people can gather, socialize, and enjoy the fruits of our local makers,” said Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz. “It’s a testament to Toledo’s growing craft beverage scene and its potential for economic growth.” The warehouse’s industrial character will be preserved and incorporated into the design. Exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows will create an open and inviting atmosphere. Outdoor spaces, including a courtyard and rooftop deck, will provide additional seating and event space. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. When open, the complex will be a major attraction for locals and tourists alike, showcasing Toledo’s vibrant craft beverage scene and its commitment to preserving its industrial heritage.
